How to fix the error cannot update macOS 12.1 Monterey

Many users of devices with Mac Apple Silicon chips such as the M1, M1 Pro, and M1 Max have reported being unable to upgrade to the macOS 12.1 Monterey update. Here’s how to fix this problem.

This trick, shared by user Jonlon (@jonlonergan) on Twitter, consists of only the following basic steps:

  • Mở Activity Monitor
  • Search for the task com.apple.NRD.UpdateBrainService
  • Double click on com.apple.NRD.UpdateBrainService , then click Quit in the window that opens.
  • Vào About This Mac > Software Update
  • Check, download and install macOS 12.1 Monterey.
